WORLDCOM Public Relations Group is the world's largest and most established partnership of independently owned public-relations counselling firms. The group operates across 107 partner offices in 91 cities on six continents – accounting for more than 2,000 employees and revenues of US$265 million.

Asia-Pacific Connections (APC) is the exclusive Worldcom Partner in Singapore and Cindy Payne, APC's Managing Director, is the Chair of the Asia-Pacific Region.

Worldcom was established in 1988, so that the strongest, most capable, independent public-relations firms could serve global clients, whilst retaining the flexibility and client-service focus inherent to independent agencies. Through Worldcom, clients of partner firms have on-demand access to in-depth communications expertise from professionals worldwide who understand the local language, culture and customs of the geographic marketplaces in which they operate. This allows Worldcom partners to collectively serve national, international and multinational clients cost-efficiently and effectively.

Worldcom requires partner firms to present credentials and meet stringent management standards. Each firm undergoes peer assessment to ensure the standards are met and maintained. Agreements between partners are signed, detailing what is required of all partners involved in each specific client programme, so that performance standards are in place and partners are accountable to each other, as well as to each client.

Prospective partners consider the valued Worldcom credentials, the access they gain to industry professionals’ best practices globally, and the capability to offer their clients expanded resources, market intelligence and global market reach – all of which presents a distinct competitive advantage in growing their business.

Partners leverage the partnership’s collective knowledge and talent, as well as different industry and regional perspectives, to bolster their own clients’ services, as well as to enhance their new business efforts.
